Definition of color agnosia
Color agnosia:
Difficulty recognizing colors or associate with his name. The color agnosia is a type of visual agnosia. There is an inability to name and designate colors that is not due to blindness.
Location of injury:
The color agnosia due to an injury in associative visual areas of the brain, mainly in the lingual and fusiform gyri of both hemispheres. The ring spindle is the critical region for this disorder.
